Craps appears very difficult, but is actually easy and very fun when winning!

Craps Done Simple

Craps has to be the most exciting of all the table games at the casino. When the dice are flying across the table, as the excitement picks up, and the fact that everyone that is standing at the craps table is waiting to see what you will throw to determine whether they win or lose, it is all for the roll of those two little dice as they bounce around and come down to make you a winner.

Craps is an easy game to learn, and this is the guide that is going to cut out all the confusion surrounding the different bets and all the other mumbo jumbo that gets in the way of seeing what is happening clearly. Playing online though, you just cannot compare to the live feeling of actually holding the dice in your hands as you prepare to throw them down the table.

The Basics

Beginning with the basics is going to make this a lot easier, so to begin with this is what is called the pass line bet. Learning the most basic bets in craps will allow you to follow the game from above and while you are standing over the rail. Sticking to the pass line bet will help you learn and then eventually you can learn and pick up other bets as the game progresses in your mind.

There are roughly over 40 different bets at the craps table, and some of them have the most horrible odds with great payoffs but as a beginner they should be avoided at almost any cost, and now it is time to teach the rules and how the pass line works.

Pass line Bet

The pass line works like this. Place a bet on the pass line before a new come out roll. If the shooter throws a 7 or 11, you win, if it is 2, 3, or 12, you lose your pass line bet. Anything between this is now the point for the shooter. For him to win, he must roll this number before rolling a 7 again. If he does roll his point, then you win your pass line bet, and if he rolls a 7 both him and you lose your bets.

For example, a shooter rolls an 8 on their come out roll. This is the Point. A marker is placed on the 8 on the layout and this is the designated point. Again the shooter rolls and rolls either until he hits a 7 or an 8. if it is the 7, he loses, and if it is the 8 he wins, and then the point is removed and the shooter continues to shoot as if it were another come out roll. The same procedure occurs until the player loses in which he passes the dice to the next player on his left.
